hee. the other night, a bunch of us went out to eat. in the booth behind us was a wee human who had, evidently, ordered the chicken strips. he said "bok BOK! bok BOK!" for at least three full minutes, as children will. our table was snickering and trying not to laugh too loudly. his dinner mates were embarrassed.
ReplyDeleteat long last, one of them said, "did you order french fries, too?" he nodded, momentarily stymied. french fries don't make sounds, as this wily adult surely knew.
then he said, "...and chicken strips!" we put down our drinks, knowing what was coming next. "BOK! BOK BOK!"
nobody even tried not to laugh.
