Day 161

Vacation: Day Seven

Look, I took most of my pictures on the first day. So, once again, these are from our Friday night beach sunset fun time.

There were a pair of girls there wearing "I Heart NW" t-shirts doing some kind of photo shoot. They looked awfully young to be getting senior pictures, though, so we're not quite sure what they were doing. Besides clearly having a blast. If you can't quite see them here, click on the picture to make it bigger. (Also, take note of my flip-flops having a nice cameo).

I love sunsets over the water. Heck, I just plain love sunsets. But this was so buttery and gorgeous and it wasn't long after this that the sun slid behind the bank of clouds zooming across Lake Michigan from the west. So it's one of the last moments in which the sun itself was actually visible.

We discovered that rocks can indeed be skipped across waves--at least if they're little ones. And Megan discovered that skipping is not so much her thing--she likes to toss big stones in and hear the mighty, "PLOOP!" Here, she was successful.

And that's the end of official vacation! But come back tomorrow for a photo shoot with a very special model.
